SALT LAKE CITY — Health officials discovered two confirmed cases of West Nile virus in Cache County, they announced Friday. The Bear River Health Department announced the news of the two human cases a day after Salt Lake County confirmed a case in its jurisdiction, bringing Utah’s total to three human cases.

The risk for West Nile virus is high in 10 cities and towns in Massachusetts, including Boston, public health officials say.

A dead bird was found in Calhoun County and tested positive for West Nile Virus at the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Bureau of Laboratories.
