Jackson County business owners are reporting higher than expected property value assessments and that could mean changes in how they operate their businesses.

Growth has not been slowed by economic development in De Soto. During De Soto Mayor Rick Walker's State of the City address on Wednesday, he shared that retail sales continue to climb.
