MANILA >> The Philippines expressed serious concern today over what it called “dangerous manoeuvres and unlawful interference” by Chinese vessels during a coast guard supply mission for Filipino fishermen in the Scarborough Shoal in the South China Sea.

A heated and disturbing occurrence occurred in the South China Sea’s disputed waters earlier today. The Philippines Coast Guard shared a video that appears to show a collision and confrontation between one of their patrol vessels and two Chinese government ships.

The Philippines is rejecting blame for the collision between two Chinese vessels near Scarborough Shoal earlier this week, an incident that took place as the China Coast Guard vessel involved was chasing a Philippine vessel delivering supplies to Filipino fishermen in the area.
