Montgomery County Commissioner Neil Makhija said the county will be hit hard economically by the looming SEPTA cuts.

The state spending plan is nearly three months overdue, leaving schools, safety net programs, transportation services and higher education institutions filling the gap.

Seven of the 32 bus routes that SEPTA plans to cut at the end of August will be in Montgomery County, according to officials.
