GameStop is auctioning off its infamous stapler that damaged numerous consoles on Nintendo Switch 2 launch night. Money raised from the stapler's sale will go to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals — and bidding is now over $100,000.

It wasn't a good look for the company, but now, GameStop is looking to turn the whole thing into a positive by auctioning off the stapler and the damaged Switch 2 on eBay, with all proceeds going to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

What started as an embarrassing mistake develops into a remarkable fundraiser. Gamestop is currently auctioning the notorious Tacker, which damaged several consoles during the Nintendo Switch 2 sales start on June fifth June 2025. The auction has now reached a remarkable sum of $ 108,895 (around 92,750 euros).
