Shares in Vauxhall owner Stellantis tumble after top boss quits abruptly - The car-making giant announced plans last week to shut its Luton van-making factory next April, putting more than 1,100 jobs at risk.

The boss of car making giant Stellantis - which owns brands including Chrysler, Vauxhall, Jeep, Fiat and Peugeot - has stepped down with immediate effect. Carlos Tavares' abrupt exit comes two months after Stellantis issued a profit warning.

Stellantis, which also owns the Peugeot, Fiat and Jeep brands, said it had accepted the resignation of Carlos Tavares.
