Sunday marked Broadway’s biggest night, with the 2025 Tony Awards taking place at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall.

Kara Young has made history. On Sunday night, Young won her second Tony Award for best actress in a featured role in a play for the show Purpose, which she plays Aziza, a social worker from Harlem.

"Purpose" made it's pre-Broadway world premiere at Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre in 2024. Young picked up the award for best actress in a featured role in a play for her performance in the production.
