For all the hullabaloo and hype surrounding Lionel Messi’s return to Atlanta for the Club World Cup round of 16 clash against PSG, the Inter Miami maestro wasn’t the only player, past or present, with ties to the French side.

Lionel Messi-led Miami, the only one of Major League Soccer's three participating clubs to advance to the 32-team tournament's round of 16, were humbled by European champions Paris Saint-Germain 4-0 on Sunday in Atlanta.

The Parisians blew out the MLS side, 4-0, in the Round of 16 at the Club World Cup on Sunday. João Neves led PSG with a brace, Achraf Hakimi added a tally and a Tomás Avilés own-goal in the first half added insult to injury.
