MINNEAPOLIS — The Texas Rangers signed veteran reliever Craig Kimbrel to a minor-league contract Wednesday. The 37-year-old Kimbrel will report to Triple-A Round Rock this week.

The Braves signed the 37-year-old to a minor league deal in March. In 15 games for the Gwinnett Stripers, Kimbrel posted a 2.45 ERA with 17 strikeouts and a 1.09 WHIP.
