Several Cabinet secretaries have either submitted or would submit their courtesy resignations in support of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. call earlier in the day to allow him to 'realign government with the people's expectations.

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has called for the courtesy resignations of Cabinet secretaries, with the aim to “recalibrate” his administration following the midterm polls.

Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on Friday said President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. declined to accept his courtesy resignation. “The president declined the courtesy resignation that I tendered,” he said in a press conference.
