A new chapter in the Facebook saga is coming as Aaron Sorkin takes on a sequel to "The Social Network," examining the social media giant's broader societal impact.

Sorkin will write and direct the new follow-up, which will explore the long tail of Facebook’s influence. The Social Network is finally getting a sequel courtesy of Sony.
