Ohio State wanted to move its game against Texas to Sunday primetime, but the Longhorns "exercised their contractual right" to stop the move.

The Longhorns said no, much to the dismay of Buckeyes fans. Texas athletic director Chris Del Conte recently explained the university's reasoning — they did not want to give themselves less rest heading into Week 2.

Ohio State hoped to move its season-opener against Texas to the late afternoon or evening window on Sunday, Aug. 31, but the Longhorns had no interest in doing so.
