Baseball fans rejoice! The Washington Nationals return to the field Thursday for opening day as they host the Philadelphia Phillies to open its 2025 season.

The Washington Nationals announced their 2025 Opening Day roster and corresponding moves on Thursday. Nationals President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Mike Rizzo made the announcements.

Thursday’s Opening Day festivities at Nationals Park signified the start of another season of baseball in the District, and fans couldn’t have been more excited. It also marked the start of the Nationals’ 20th anniversary season with new local bars and restaurants opening their spaces in the park.
