Five people have been arrested on suspicion of helping some of the 10 escapees who broke out of the Orleans Justice Center last week.

The NOPD’s Special Operations Division Tactical II team obtained information allegedly tying Smith to helping the escapees along with Cortnie Harris, 32, of New Orleans, who was arrested for her alleged role Wednesday and had a $2.5 million bond placed on her.

New Orleans Police Department has arrested another person accused of helping escaped inmates. Around 3 p.m, investigators executed a high-risk warrant at a home in New Orleans East and discovered that one of the occupants may have aided some of the inmates after the escape.
