The Celtics have opened up a roster spot, but more importantly have officially (for now, anyway) accomplished the goal of their summer.

According to an announcement by the organization Thursday afternoon, the Boston Celtics have reportedly waived former Alabama Crimson Tide guard JD Davison. Davison recently concluded his third season with Boston, the same organization which drafted him with the No. 53 overall pick in the second round of the 2022 NBA draft.
