Chinese tech giant Huawei Technologies unveiled its Mate 70 smartphone series on Tuesday, bolstering its premium smartphone comeback while showcasing its own operating system that looks to cleanly break away from U.

The firm has just revealed the Mate 70 series, which it claims are its most powerful phones ever. They also signify Huawei's break with Android in favor of its proprietary HarmonyOS NEXT, which doesn't work with Android apps.

Huawei Mate 70 pricing starts at CNY 5,499 (roughly Rs. 64.100) for the base model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and it is also available in 512GB and 1TB variants priced at CNY 5,999 (roughly Rs. 69,900) and CNY 6,999 (roughly Rs. 81,500), respectively.

That launch marked Huawei’s comeback to high-end smartphones after US export curbs had severely impacted its business. Richard Yu, chairman of Huawei’s consumer business group, called the Mate 70 the “most powerful Mate phone ever.
