Around 20-30 structures were damaged by a tornado that spun across the Kentwood area in Tangiaphoa Parish Saturday afternoon, but fortunately, there were no reported injuries, the sheriff says.

KENTWOOD, La. — The National Weather Service said a radar-confirmed tornado swept through Kentwood leaving significant damage in the area. Trees were ripped in half, a convenient store and 30 homes were damaged or completely destroyed. Power poles were either leaning or had come down entirely.
