A new genetic investigative tool could help police catch the person who raped and killed 6-year-old Alicia O’Reilly 45 years ago.

The US woman, who had been on the run for five years, was this week found guilty of conspiracy to murder after trying to shoot dead a Birmingham businessman in 2019 as part of a revenge plot.

Day three in the preliminary hearing in the Ashley Elkins case concluded. Her ex-boyfriend, Deandre Booker, is accused of killing the Warren mother of two.
