Ryan Preece has walked away after a spectacular crash during the closing laps of the 2025 Daytona 500, going airborne and flipping down the Daytona backstretch and up the banking in Turn 3. It all occurred after a multi-car crash that began when Christopher Bell got spun in front of traffic while racing for the win with four laps to go.

But Preece in the No. 60 RFK Racing Ford suffered the worst of the wreck, first going airborne and landing on Erik Jones’ No. 43 Legacy Motor Club Toyota before being totally upside down on the track. Eventually, the car barrel-rolled up the track and landed on its wheels in Turn 3.

Daytona 500, Ryan Preece was involved in one of the most terrifying moments of his career. After getting into a high-speed crash, his car soared through the air, terrifying both fans and fellow drivers.

With four laps left, Preece turned upside-down and essentially did a wheelie in his No. 60 Ford. His car flipped onto its roof and turned back onto its tires before hitting the outside wall. Preece dropped his safety net to signal to crews he was OK. He finished 32nd.

Ryan Preece is becoming quite used to flying down the backstretch at Daytona International Speedway. After taking a terrifying tumble at Daytona in August of 2023, Preece flipped at the "World Center of Racing" again in Sunday's Daytona 500 in a big crash on lap 196.
