The Avalanche lost 5-3 to the Dallas Stars at American Airlines Center on Friday. Valeri Nichushkin, Artturi Lehkonen, and Mikko Rantanen scored for Colorado, while Cale Makar added two assists. Tyler Seguin opened put Dallas on the board first at 5:36 of the opening period on the power play with a left-circle shot.

The Dallas Stars (13-8-0) face the Colorado Avalanche (13-10-0) at home on Friday in a nationally televised Central Division clash. Dallas is looking to bounce back after suffering back-to-back losses to Carolina and Chicago in which the Stars gave up a combined 12 goals against.

In the Avs prior game, Colorado lost 8-2 in Tampa in a game that saw Justus Annunen start, Georgiev come in in relief, and then Annunen come back in for the third period. The Avalanche have had several games where their team defense has been exposed this year.
