Fans were eager to witness the fate of Priyanka Chopra-backed American-Hindi film Anuja at the 97th Academy Awards, aka Oscars 2025. However, it has been announced that the film has lost the prestigious honor for Best Live Action Short Film to a Dutch sci-fi film,

I’m Not a Robot” from writer-director Victoria Warmerdam is a 22-minute Dutch-language film about a music producer who wonders if she might not be human when she keeps failing online Captcha tests meant to prove that users filling out online forms are real people and not spambots.

Backed by Guneet Monga, Priyanka Chopra, and Mindy Kaling, the 22-minute short film Anuja was hopeful of a win at the Oscars. However, it didn't quite make the cut and afterwards Guneet had these encouraging words to say for India's future at the Oscars.
