Lucasfilm chief Kathleen Kennedy has been stumping for Disney CEO Bob Iger to receive an Honorary Oscar this year. Some Academy voters see a conflict.

His current term, which began on Nov. 20, will end on Dec. 31, 2024. Iger replaced his successor Bob Chapek, who was named CEO in February 2020 and held the position for less than three years.

The producer-executive has been ardently lobbying members of the group to obtain an Honorary Oscar for her boss, Disney chief Bob Iger, four insiders with knowledge of the matter told Variety.
