Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon both featured in the goalless draw with Leeds at the weekend, while Bryan Mbeumo is finally set to complete his Old Trafford move.

The Red Devils are eager to finalize everything in time for him to join the rest of the Manchester squad on Tuesday as they depart for the club’s pre-season tour in the United States.

Manchester United are closing in on finally signing Bryan Mbeumo this summer after over a month of negotiations with Brentford. The 25-year-old was made United's priority target after Matheus Cunha signed at the start of June.

Mbeumo did play alongside Yoane Wissa as a striker at times for Brentford last season, and with his ability to run in behind, come short and combine with other attackers and clinical finishing – as seen by scoring 20 goals from 12.3 expected goals – the Cameroonian could be a strong option as Man Utd’s starting striker.

The deal comprises an initial £65m fee, to be paid in four instalments, plus a maximum of £6m in potential bonuses.
