Four NASA astronauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS) sent a Thanksgiving message to Earth on Tuesday, November 25, ahead of the holiday on Thursday. Sunita Williams started by wishing a "Happy Thanksgiving to all our friends and family who are down on Earth and everyone who is supporting us."

Williams and Wilmore were only slated to be on the ISS for eight days. But when their Boeing Starliner experienced technical malfunctions, they became stranded at the ISS. The Starliner later returned to Earth without them.
