Beirut — Hours after a U.S.-brokered ceasefire to end the war between Israel and Hezbollah went into effect, Lebanon woke up to the sound of celebratory gunfire instead of Israeli airstrikes and drones buzzing overhead.

Israel's military and Lebanon's army are trading accusations that each country violated the ceasefire agreement between Israel and the Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah in Lebanon. It comes less than two days after the deal was first reached and went into effect.
