Days after Pittsburgh traded the mercurial wide receiver to the Cowboys, Steelers beat reporter Mark Kaboly alleged Monday that “significant locker room guys got fed up with Pickens’ antics” and feared toxicity could spread.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have made their bed. In trading receiver George Pickens, the Steelers have effectively kneecapped the 2025 offense, seemingly in hopes of finding their franchise quarterback. The merits of that process can be debated, but it cannot be divorced from the parts of Pickens’ profile that don’t have to do with his production.
