Dillon Gabriel found out the hard way, on and off the field. On an afternoon where Gabriel was presented with the opportunity to emerge as a player in the Cleveland Browns quarterback competition, the third-round rookie had to maneuver his way through damage control.

Dillon Gabriel was hurt by a couple of turnovers that spoiled what was otherwise a solid NFL debut Aug. 16 in the Browns ' 22-13 preseason win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

"There's entertainers and there's competitors, and I totally understand that," Gabriel said to sideline reporter Aditi Kinkhabwala on the Channel 5 broadcast.
