There are slow burns and then there are slow burns. The third season of The White Lotus is testing my patience. I’m typically pretty comfortable with slower shows. Severance and Andor are two of my favorites in recent years and both can easily be described as slow burns.

Just like seasons 1 and 2 before it, season 3 of “The White Lotus” introduced a mysterious death during episode 1. Belinda’s ( Natasha Rothwell) son, Zion (Nicholas Duvernay), heard gunshots and saw a dead body floating in a pond, but we don’t yet know who was facedown in the water or who was shooting.
But after White Lotus worker Belinda (Natasha Rothwell) clocks him as the husband of Tanya (Jennifer Coolidge) in Season 3, rightly assuming he had a hand in her death in order to inherit her vast fortune, it seems like Belinda may now be at risk from him herself.
