Danish drugmaker Novo Nordisk introduced its weight-loss drug Wegovy in South Africa on Thursday, marking its debut in Africa and stepping up competition with Eli Lilly's Mounjaro which launched in the country eight months ago.

A WOMAN has revealed how she shed weight even after stopping Mounjaro. Arlene Taggart, from the UK, took to social media to share her weight loss transformation which left people stunned.

The survey of 2,000 weight loss patients found that a doubling in price would see 80% coming off Mounjaro, with 51% switching to Wegovy and 29% – around 326,000 people – stopping their weight loss medication altogether.
