Israeli missions in the United States have beefed up security and lowered their flags to half-staff after the murders took place.

Baltimore Jewish leaders and residents are “shocked,” “heartbroken” and “outraged” about two Israeli Embassy staff members being gunned down in Washington on Wednesday night.

A man and woman were killed after shots reportedly rang out near the Capital Jewish Museum and the Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) Washington Field Office in Northwest D.C. on Wednesday, according to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).
