HBO Max is previewing "Task," a new drama series from "Mare of Easttown" writer and producer Brad Inglesby and starring Mark Ruffalo and Tom Pelphrey.

Released Thursday, the teaser serves as an early look at Task, a follow-up to HBO’s hit series Mare of Easttown, which also filmed in and around Philadelphia. Ruffalo stars in the series as the leader of an FBI task force tasked with ending a string of drug-house robberies.

We’re getting a look at some of the first footage of Task, HBO’s upcoming drama series from Mare of Easttown creator Brad Ingelsby. Mark Ruffalo and Tom Pelphrey star in the seven-episode series set for premiere this September on HBO and streaming on HBO Max.
