The Buffalo Bills' preseason games are officially underway, with the AFC Champs succumbing to the New York Giants 34-25 at Highmark Stadium, with Sean McDermott's team mounting a comeback of sorts that fell short.

Bills head coach Sean McDermott detailed why James Cook agreed to warm up but not play as he searches for a new contract.

While McDermott made it clear that the team is the focus, and that when a player is focused on themselves, they are, for better or worse, not actively or at least fully a part of the team, given recent events Cook getting back out there in uniform is a good sign and hopefully a step in the right direction.
