Highs of 30.8C have been recorded in the Scottish Highlands, as the Met Office says Northern Ireland has seen its warmest day since 2022.

Scotland has recorded its warmest day in more than two years, as the third heatwave of the summer peaks, with temperatures in Northern Ireland and Wales also potentially breaking records on Saturday. The Met Office said that Aviemore hit 30C, adding that Scotland last exceeded the same temperature on June 13 2023.
