Hours before winning the BMW Championship, World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler was playing lacrosse with friend and fellow tour pro Sam Burns.

The final group is coming down the home stretch and Scottie Scheffler still leads by two as of 5:15 p.m. ET. That lead was cut to one for a brief moment when Scheffler made two bogeys in three holes on Nos. 12 and 14, but he bounced back with a birdie from the fairway bunker on No. 15.

Current coach Sherrone Moore received a two-year show-cause and a three-game suspension. Michigan had already suspended him two games. He will miss Weeks 3 and 4 of this season (vs. Central Michigan and at Nebraska) and Week 1 of next season (vs. Western Michigan ).
