Bishop T.D. Jakes has announced that the position of senior pastor of the Potter's House in Dallas will be transferred to his daughter, Sarah Jakes Roberts, and son-in-law. The announcement came during Sunday morning's service.

Jakes’ announcement comes nearly six months after a major health incident that he later described as a “massive heart attack.”

T.D. Jakes, who also serves as chairman of enterprises dealing with real estate, entrepreneurialism and entertainment, said he had goals to accomplish beyond the pulpit and in the community.
