Naoya Inoue took out a game Ramon Cardenas in his first fight in America since 2021 to retain his status as the undisputed super bantamweight champion.  Inoue (30-0) beat Cardenas (26-2) via TKO in a fight that was easily the best during a busy weekend for boxing.

Fabian Maidana has a famous sibling. Older brother Marcos Maidana had a 10-year career, claimed titles of varying significance in two weight classes and finished his run with a pair of scraps with Floyd Mayweather Jr. Along the way, he was known and respected for his grittiness and will to win.
