Matt Weiss turned himself in Monday after being accused of hacking into computers to spy on young women. Then he and University of Michigan got sued.

The lawsuit says Michigan failed to monitor Weiss, who was fired in January 2023 after a report of suspicious computer activity.

Weiss, 42, was charged on March 20​ with 14 counts of unauthorized access to computers and 10 counts of aggravated identity theft. The lawsuit was filed in federal court on March 21.
