Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky delivered their first win of 2025 in front of the LSU faithful at Pete Maravich Assembly Center. On Friday night, Reese and the Sky took down the Brazil national women's basketball team in their 2025 preseason opener, which also marked Tyler Marsh's debut as Chicago's new head coach.

Angel Reese made a curious decision on Monday. Rather than practice with her Chicago Sky teammates with less than two weeks until the WNBA regular season tips off, Reese was in New York City. She's part of the host committee for the Met Gala and is at that event instead.

The organization named Reese to the 2025 Gala Host Committee in February alongside a slate of Black leaders in the arts, fashion, sports, music and film industries. Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is an honorary chair of the committee, which is led by Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams and Anna Wintour.
