Kenya named former South Africa international Benni McCarthy as coach on Monday, some three weeks before they resume their World Cup qualification campaign.

Benni McCarthy has been appointed the new coach of Harambee Stars as he seeks to succeed in a place where the likes of Reinhard Fabisch, Francis Kimanzi were before.

Benni McCarthy is officially appointed as Kenya’s new coach, leading them into World Cup qualifiers. His debut match is against The Gambia later this month.
