With the stroke of a pen, Gov. Josh Shapiro capped an age-old effort in the Pennsylvania General Assembly to end a ban on Sunday hunting.

Governor Josh Shapiro has signed eight bills into Pennsylvania law, with the new pieces focusing on things such as modernizing licensing rules for pharmacists, strengthening veterans’ services and enhancing educational opportunities for military families.

Gov. Josh Shapiro said on Wednesday that by repealing the outdated ban on Sunday hunting, Pennsylvanians can spend more time outdoors, with more chances to share traditions and a stronger future for conservation.
