While Connor Stalions and his sign-stealing operation at Michigan took center stage Friday, there was a behind-the-scenes feud bubbling over between Jim Harbaugh and the school’s compliance department in 2023.

The University of Michigan announced it will appeal the ruling handed down by the NCAA following an investigation into sign-stealing and recruiting violations by the school.

Jim Harbaugh "ran a program that was largely dismissive of rules compliance. There was little, if any, emphasis on following the rules," the NCAA said.
