Saudi Arabia has welcomed the ceasefire between Iran and Israel, which was announced by U.S. President Donald Trump late Monday night. The Saudi Foreign Ministry praised all international efforts to reduce tensions and prevent further violence.

Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates condemned Iran’s missile attack on Monday evening against the Al Udeid US military base in Qatar. Riyadh called the strikes an “aggression” against Doha and were “unacceptable and cannot be justified”.

Iran and Saudi Arabia have been in conflict with each other over influence in the West Asian and Muslim countries. However, the countries have been sharing mutual views on the Israel-Palestine conflict,
