The Sunday assassination of Anas al-Sharif points to the global failure to respond, particularly by the U.S., to repeated Israeli attacks on reporters.

Anas Al-Sharif was one of the last surviving reporters in Northern Gaza, and the face of Al-Jazeera’s Arabic coverage there. After months of threats, he was killed earlier this week in a targeted Israeli strike.
