In a blog post on the Roku website on Monday, the company announced that the Roku Channel will be available as part of Google TV "in the coming weeks." What this means for you is more free content for streaming through Google TV, and it will be a whole lot easier to find.

Starting today, Google TV will be rolling out Roku Channel integration that'll add the channel to the Google TV search feature. It'll also bring Roku's 500-plus FAST (Free, Ad-Supported TV) channels into Google TV's Live tab, the free hub for live TV.

Roku is making it easier to find and watch its programming on Google TV without jumping between apps. Users can soon search for content from The Roku Channel — Roku’s free streaming app — directly on Google TV, providing quick access to Roku’s library of over 80,000 movies and TV shows.

Users should soon be able to search for The Roku Channel content and see recommendations directly on Google TV. Users can expect over 500 free FAST channels from The Roku Channel to be added to Google TV's Live tab.
