A restraining order has been granted against Gerhardt Konig, the former UPMC doctor accused of trying to kill his wife in Hawaii. The order forbids Gerhardt, who is currently being held on $5 million bail, from being in their home or contacting their children.

An anesthesiologist accused of trying to kill his wife on a popular Hawaii hiking trail previously accused her of having an affair, which led to “extreme jealousy,” according to a temporary restraining order petition filed by his wife.

The Hawaii engineer whose husband is accused of trying to throw her off a cliff alleges he had been sexually abusing her for months prior to the attack. Gerhardt Konig, 46, allegedly attacked his wife, 36-year-old Arielle Konig, during a trip to the Pali Lookout in Oahu, Hawaii, last week, per police.
