As ticket sales begin today, Marvel has dropped another new look at Fantastic Four: First Steps in action–and although there’s plenty glimpses of the First Family in action as they brace for the coming of Galactus, this new footage does properly welcome up to the next member of the team.

When Ebon Moss-Bachrach first revealed Ben Grimm/The Thing would be CGI for the upcoming Marvel movie, a number of fans had differing takes. Some felt that superhero characters with dramatic physical transformations should be digitally crafted, while others believed that practical effects were superior.

The detail that this action set piece takes place on a planet that’s in the midst of being destroyed could lend credence to an MCU theory that gained traction in the wake of the Thunderbolts* post-credits scene.
