SB Nation on MSNArrowheadlines: The Chiefs defense had a tough night
The Seahawks racked up 174 rushing yards before intermission and 268 in total. That reflects well on Seahawks running backs like Zach Charbonnet, George Holani and Damien Martinez —along with rookie guard Grey Zabel —but it also highlights how poorly Kansas City’s run defense performed.
The Chiefs fell to the Seahawks 33-16 in the second preseason game on a rainy night in Seattle. Andy Reid followed through on his suggestion earlier in the week that key players like Patrick Mahomes and Chris Jones wouldn't play. The offense, led by Gardner Minshew, moved the ball and punched in a touchdown on one of two possessions.
The Seahawks' first-string offense looked better than anyone could have hoped, in what was likely its only action before the season opener.

Making matters worse, it rained all night. That included during the pregame warmups, but the weather didn’t stop wide receiver Xavier Worthy from making an insane catch. Worthy, who is entering his second season with the Chiefs, made a spectacular one-handed grab, and it didn’t look particularly difficult for him.
